The Lord’s Supper

The Divine Service with Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Other Divine Services are celebrated as announced in the parish calendar.

Holy Absolution

Private Absolution (as taught in Luther’s Small Catechism) is available by appointment. All confessions are kept in strictest confidence.

Catechesis (Instruction in the Christian Faith)

Those desiring membership at Messiah Lutheran Church are asked to speak with the Pastor. In order to receive the Sacrament of our Lord’s Supper, instruction in the Christian Faith according to the Scriptures and Luther’s Small Catechism is necessary. There is no fee or obligation for Instruction.

Office Hours

The office is open daily from 8:00 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. on Monday through Thursday. The secretary is in the office Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The Pastor is on call 24 hours a day.

Visitation of the Hospitalized and Homebound

The Pastor is willing to visit those members of the Parish who are hospitalized or homebound. Visitation includes Scripture readings, prayers and the Lord’s Supper. Please contact the Pastor if you know of someone in need of Pastoral visitation.

Sunday School Children

Ages 3 to 18 are invited to attend Messiah Sunday School at 10:15 a.m. on Sundays from September to May. Lessons center around well-known stories of the Bible. There is no cost or fee.

College Outreach

Messiah is located on the north side of Kenosha, within 5 miles of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Carthage College and Gateway Technical College. If you are a college student who is looking for a Lutheran Church to attend, please join us at 9:00 a.m. for worship on Sunday mornings.
