Every time I read these verses it speaks something new to me. I love the picture of Jesus as Shepherd who alone knows what is best for us and provides all things. Without Him we can do nothing. It is so easy to want to take control or believe that we know what is best for our lives. But when we choose to rest in his arms and his love we are set free to live as Christ calls us to, and reflect more and more of his being everyday.

There is a pastor in New Mexico that has done exactly that. His name is Doug May. Since I don't use the 3 year lectionary I haven't explored it much.

Pr Peperkorn, I read that you had produced bulletin inserts with selections from the Book of Concord to correspond with the Scripture texts of the one-year lectionary. What would you think of a project to do the same thing for the three-year lectionary and make them available to be used throughout the world? An immense amout of work, but just suppose it could be done, think of the potential. No doubt it would require funding and someone thereby supported, perhaps on leave from their current posting.

Hilma, the little bit I knew her, she was so full of life & a very happy person.
She loved it when Gary & Sue would take her out to eat or for a visit at one of the grandchildren's homes.
Rest in peace, your family will miss you very much.

Thank you so much for the beauitful sermon you gave in Rememberance of My Mother-inlaw Hilma Maddern.
I have so many memories over the years and the one's that stick out the most are the love she had for her childeran and her grandchilderan. The beauitful smile she had and she loved to knit.over the years she made many beauitful things.
She was a great Mom and a Grandmother that loved to cook and bake. Her pasties were out of this world! She was always their for her childeran in good and bad times!
The last 5 years she lived up here in Minnesota near us.Wenhad many good times with Mom and the frist christmax she was up here she made scarfs for all the grandchilderan. She loved going out to target and Perkins to eat and attending any family event their was.She was very happy at emerald crest and was loved by everyone. Our hearts are broken but we know she is holding Marlayne.s hand. We know God is taking care of her until we meet her again in Heaven when we cross over
