The
Gideons
The energies directed towards furnishing a Bible for each
bedroom of the hotels n the country merit the applause of every
Christian [ sure to be a crowd-pleasing statement, but read on]. The
evangelistic work, which is one of the natural functions of the
Gideon Association, obviously is unionistic to the core and cannot
be looked upon with favor by Christians who recognize unionism as a very
effective hindrance to the evangelization of the world in harmony
with the plan laid down by Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the
Truth, and the Life. (p. 232 Other Societies).
